3 Day Right to Cancel

3-Day Used Vehicle Contract Cancellation Policy Pursuant to California law, qualifying used vehicle purchases or leases executed on or after October 1, 2026, with a contract sale price of $50,000 or less (excluding taxes and government fees) are eligible for a 3-calendar-day right to cancel. To qualify for a full contract cancellation and refund, the buyer must return the vehicle to the dealership before the close of business on the third calendar day following delivery, provided the vehicle: 1.) Has been driven fewer than 400 miles since the time of purchase. 2.) Is returned in the same condition as received, normal wear and tear excepted. 3.) Is accompanied by all original keys, manuals, and documentation. Restocking Fees: In accordance with the California CARS Act, a restocking fee will apply to processed cancellations. This fee is calculated at 1.5% of the vehicle’s purchase price, with a minimum floor of $200 and a maximum cap of $600. If the vehicle has been driven over 250 miles during the 3-day window, an additional charge of $1.00 per mile will apply up to the 400-mile limit. Exclusions: This cancellation right applies strictly to retail used vehicle transactions. It does not apply to new vehicles, lease buyouts, fleet sales, motorcycles, or any used vehicle with a purchase price exceeding $50,000.
